Friday 18th November – bike **** – Two rivers including lunch at Felixstowe Ferry – Mainly cloudy.

After missing several windsurfing sessions over the last week mainly due to lots of rain I was keen to get out today so I headed to Levington Marina at 9 this morning even though the tide was dropping so not ideal. Two things went against the session, first it didn’t look windy enough and there was a barrier up stopping me get to the launch beach. They dredge the marina every winter meaning there is often large pipes in the way, I hope it doesn’t cause us a problem as the marina is my go-to winter sailing venue! It was not a complete wasted journey as I had a quick walk getting some pics before heading for home where Mag was surprised to see me back so early!
This gave me time to do my exercises before I packed a picnic before we set off on our bikes at 1 making a detour to the town centre, then heading down to Felixstowe prom, turning left to The Fludgers with some amazing skies :) We continue around to The Dip finishing up at one of our favourite spots by the River Deben for lunch. It was just so peaceful, just us and a few gulls with the tide being pretty low too, even spotted some fish! Well rested we go to the jetty at Felixstowe Ferry, then out onto the muddy Deben path and back up Marsh Lane through the town with Mag stopping at home as I carry on to the prom again going to Landguard Nature Reserve, the view point and home via Langer Park for a welcome cuppa and cake:)

PS. I got one of the bike ride pics on the BBC online weather too:)
